FAQs

  • We offer a complimentary introductory session with a therapist from each of our creative modalities—art, music, and drama—so you can explore what resonates best with you. This is a wonderful opportunity to see if we’re the right fit for your needs. Feel free to end the session at any time, and there’s no rush to make a decision on the spot. Take all the time you need to find what feels right for you.

  • Our creative arts therapies often blend elements of play therapy. We use a mix of techniques to support you best, and you’re encouraged to explore your sessions in whatever feels most beneficial for you.

  • Yes, we do! We have group therapy sessions that run for an allocated time. If you would like more information on what this looks like, please visit our services page or get in touch with us through the information facilitated in the contact page.

  • In our sessions, we blend creative activities with open conversation, depending on what feels right for you. While creative expression is a central part of our therapy, we completely understand if you’d prefer to focus more on talking when that’s what you need. Your sessions are all about you—use them in whatever way feels most comfortable and supportive.

  • Don’t worry if you’re new to art, music, or performance—no prior experience is needed to benefit from our creative therapies. What’s most important is finding a way to explore your feelings that feels right for you. If you’re feeling a bit nervous about creating or performing, we’re here to support you every step of the way and work through those feelings together. Let’s embark on this creative journey with an open heart and a sense of curiosity.

  • In our sessions, we’re here to support your creative journey rather than guide you step-by-step. We might offer materials or suggest activities to help you explore certain emotions or experiences, but the choice of what to express is entirely up to you. Every therapist has their unique approach, so finding the right fit for you is key to a fulfilling experience.

  • Your creative work is completely yours—whether you want to keep it, share it, or let it go, it’s entirely up to you. If you’re joining us in person, you can store your creations in our secure folders or boxes between sessions. For those participating online, we’ll chat about the best ways to handle and store your work, and you’re welcome to use any digital tools that suit you. This is a great topic to explore further with your therapist at the start of your sessions.

  • We provide a variety of materials for art, music, and drama therapy in the therapy room.

  • Your privacy is very important to us. Everything you share during sessions, including any creative work, is kept confidential. There are some legal limits to confidentiality, which we can discuss in detail if we decide to work together. For more information, please review our privacy policy.
