    HCPC Registered Art Psychotherapist

My Journey to Art Therapy began after earning a BSc in Digital Arts and Design and an MA in Fine Arts, after which I spent several years working in adult care and as a nursery practitioner, which deepened my desire to make a positive impact.

This experience led me to pursue Art Psychotherapy, completing my MSc in July 2024. My experience working with families affected by substance misuse and domestic violence, coupled with my mental health journey, highlighted the challenges posed by long waiting times and the availability of therapy services.

The latter inspired me to approach Jack, our co-founder, and start our service, C.A.T.S., in a search to offer relief to both service users and practitioners, while also fostering the growth of community art programs and their benefits.

    HCPC Registered Art Psychotherapist

I come to art psychotherapy from an art background. I am a practising painter and musician have been involved in art therapy group art exhibitions.

I work part-time for a drugs and alcohol charity within the children and young persons team, here my work focuses on trauma, stress, anxiety, harm reduction, and well-being through relational creative therapy. I have worked with children and young persons in Primary and High Schools and with adults in a NHS Mental Health Rehabilitation Team. In these settings, I have developed an interest in addiction, drugs, alcohol, and working somatically. My therapeutic style mixes psychodynamic, and short-intervention, depending on each client’s needs.
